Ree Hegh is an Australian artist and educator based in Northern New South Wales. Working across sculpture, installation, video and sound, her practice investigates the transformation of material culture, with a particular interest in peripheral objects found within domestic spaces.

Working with found, discarded and mass-produced objects, Hegh examines how everyday materials and commodities reflect the social, economic and material systems through which they circulate. Through acts of collection, disassembly and remaking, familiar objects are displaced from their intended function and acquire new sculptural forms.

Hegh completed a Doctor of Visual Arts at Griffith University and has exhibited nationally, undertaking artist residencies in Australia and Thailand. Alongside her studio practice, she works as an educator across tertiary and community arts programs.
